Description
The Precor EFX 556 V3 is one of the top elliptical trainers from the same company that introduced elliptical machines in the mid-90s. The 556 V3 can make you train your lower body and upper body for a total body workout without necessarily pounding your knees and hips. Like most Precor EFX machines, the 556 V3 has a low rate of perceived exertion so a 30-minute workout can seem like a 15-minute dash. Low rate of perceived exertion also helps you work out a bit longer and reach your fitness goals faster.
Features at a Glance:

- 20 resistance levels
- Console supports eight languages including English

The Precor EFX 556 V3 can be compared with two other Precor models, the Precor EFX 556 V1 Elliptical and Precor EFX 576i Experience Elliptical. The 556 V3 can be considered as an upgraded version of the 556 V1, and not just in name but in features. The first generation 556 only had seven exercise programs while the V3 has nine. The 556 V3 also features more user-friendly functions like utility tray, water bottle holder and reading rack all designed to make exercisers comfortable while working out. But the Precor EFX 576i Experience is more advanced in terms of features compared to the 556 V3. The EFX 576i has 15 workout programs, six more than the 556 V3. An optional LCD display may also be added to the 576i, although for an additional cost. But there are also similarities between the 556 V3 and the 576i, like the 20 resistance levels.
