It is easy to compare the EFX 546hr V3 elliptical trainer to other elliptical machines of Precor, like the EFX 546 Elliptical V1. At first glance, both models almost have the same dimensions with the 546hr V3 slightly longer, wider, and taller than the 546 Elliptical. Both elliptical trainers also have 20 resistance levels. And both have display readouts like heart rate, elapsed time, calories burned, and average speed. Lastly, both are equipped with Precor’s patented Cross Ramp technology that allows the two elliptical trainers to target specific muscles of the body. Yet there are a lot of differences between the 546hr V3 and the 546 Elliptical V1. The 546hr V3 has eight workout programs compared to the nine of the 546 Elliptical. This machine is the one that does it for me. I’ve made a full recovery from a nagging knee injury and leave this machine fully drenched from a kick-butt (literally) elliptical workout. I do prefer the look and feel of precor ellipticals over other brands due to their patented ramp system.
